Young golfers to benefit from Oulton Hall's partnership with Park Lane College

Oulton Hall has formed a new education partnership with Park Lane College Leeds that has resulted in new training opportunities being available for young golfers

By working together, the College will bring additional qualifications and assessment to the already successful golf training programme, as a result of the spectacular Golf Academy and the team of PGA qualified tuition experts at Oulton Hall.

Park Lane College offers a selection of BTEC and NVQ courses that cover a range of topics within the Sport and Leisure sector. The College has built extremely strong links with local sports organisations, including Leeds United football club, Leeds Rhinos rugby league team and Yorkshire County Cricket Club, which has resulted in students being able to play sport whilst studying for their vocational or academic qualifications.

The link with Oulton Hall will offer students the opportunity to specialise in golf and learn about all elements of the sport, whilst working on their own game at the same time. Further details about the courses available at Park Lane College can be found by logging onto www.parklane.ac.uk or by calling 0845 045 7275.

Keith Pickard, Director of Golf and Leisure at Oulton Hall said: We are delighted to be able to work in partnership with Park Lane College to help its students further develop their education of the sport on the golf training programme. Everyone at the resort if very proud of the facilities we have at our disposal and are confident that they will result in young golfers at the College achieving their full potential in the game. We believe that this partnership will be as successful as the academies the College have set-up in rugby league and football, with the Leeds Rhinos and Leeds United respectively.

The Golf Academy at Oulton Hall opened earlier this year and has been designed to provide the North's best golf teaching centres for elite golfers and high handicappers alike. It boasts revolutionary and innovative facilities including a fully floodlit 16 bay driving range containing fully automated power tee systems, short game facilities and two double teaching bays, in addition to state of the art Technology Room with pioneering swing analysis software and biomechanics equipment.

Furthermore, Oulton Hall offers golfers of all standards a testing 27 championship hole complex in stunning picturesque surroundings. It has recently completed a £10m development to the golf course and associated facilities including a luxury two story clubhouse, aptly named the Claret Jug.
