Sunningdale Foursomes ready for 75th Anniversary

The Sunningdale Foursomes in 2009 marks the 75th Anniversary of the annual tournament, first played in 1934.

All golfers are welcome to apply to play in the event that will take place from 17-20 March 2009.

Top 100 golf courses in the UK and Ireland - Sunningdale New Male Professionals will play from a handicap of +1 and male Amateurs from scratch, with the ladies from a handicap of two and four respectively. 

Entry qualifications require male Amateurs to play off a handicap of three, under the CONGU® Unified Handicapping System, and likewise for the ladies.

Any combination of partnership may enter and the matches will be played under full difference of the Sunningdale Foursomes Special Handicap.

All matches to be played to a finish and if extra holes are played, strokes will be conceded at the same holes as in the first round.

Top 100 golf courses in the UK and Ireland - Sunningdale Old The entry is £140.00 per pair and limited to 128 pairs, therefore significant number of entries cannot be accommodated.

Entries close on 23 January 2009 and should be addressed to The Secretary, Sunningdale Golf Club, Ridgemount Road, Sunningdale, Berkshire SL5 9RR.

Cash Prizes will be awarded to Professionals and Prize Vouchers to Amateurs.
