Sergio Carcia and Michael Thompson are tied for the lead at the Honda Classic after Round one. By James Taylor
Both men shot opening rounds of 65 while Rickie Fowler was in second place with fellow American Willian McGirt at four under par.

Phil Mickelson was part of the group who was out early and certainly played the course at it’s toughest, Phil shot a round of 69 which was pretty good going considering the conditions early on.

Garcia and Fowler will play round two together today, both returning from competition nightmares, Sergio with his missed cut at the Northern Trust Open last week and Rickie missing out at TPC Scottsdale when leading by two shots with two left to play.
