Le Golf National is one of the most daunting tests on the European Tour. It plays long, has a huge amount of water hazards and fearsome bunkers.
In recent times, long hitting accurate iron players have had the most success here.
Therefore Lee Westwood, Martin Kaymer and Justin Rose are well fancied to do well and their odds reflect this. However this leaves a lot of very well priced individuals further down the field.
Thorbjorn Olesen at 40/1 with Ladbrokes The Dane has had four top tens and his last three outings have been top 20s. A consistent performer on the Tour he has the long game to cope with the course if everything clicks.
Rafael Cabrera-Bello at 40/1 with Ladbrokes One of the best long game players on Tour he is also in excellent form with a 2nd place finish at the Irish Open last week. Four top three finishes this year already makes him a very intriguing price.

Pablo Larrazabal at 66/1 with Ladbrokes One of the most consistent long game players on the Tour. Has been consistently let down by his putting. A former champion here in 2008 could ignite his game on the short grass.
Miguel Angel Jimenez at 66/1 with Ladbrokes Has been having a poor season by his standards but has still recorded three top 10s. Won here in 2010 and is a good each way punt at this price.
Thongchai Jaidee at 80/1 with Ladbrokes Strange odds for a man in form who has had two top tens in the last month and is currently 20th on the Race to Dubai. May not have the exact game to suit this course but is too good a price to be ignored.
