Tiger Woods is defending champion, but is not at Congressional Country Club this year due to an elbow injury.

This course was the toughest on the PGA Tour outside of the Majors in 2012 and players will have to have every part of their game in check this week if they are even going to make the cut.

Adam Scott plays this week and is the favourite at 12/1.

Jason Day at 14/1 with Ladbrokes. Seems to have a game which is suited to the tough Congressional course. Finished 2nd here in the 2011 US Open and finished Top 10 last year in the AT&T National.

Rickie Fowler at 20/1 with Ladbrokes although he has not had success at Congressional in the past is playing well at the moment including a top 10 in the US Open at Merion a couple of weeks back - overdue a win.

Bo Van Pelt at 33/1 with Ladbrokes. Finished 2nd in the AT&T in 2012 and is not having a dreadful season at all with six top 25s already this year. When he gets it going he is tough to catch.

Harris English at 50/1 with Ladbrokes. Four top tens this year including a win a few weeks back. There is nothing in his stas which says he can't compete here, and I think his odds are a little longer than they should be.

Robert Garrigus at 50/1 with Ladbrokes. Seems to play well here finished 4th in 2012 and 3rd in 2011 at the US Open. Has the distance to overpower the course, but has gone through a sticky patch in his season and needs to rediscover his form.

AT&T National advised bets:

3pts each way on Jason Day at 16/1 with Ladbrokes 3pts each way on Rickie Fowler at 20/1 with Ladbrokes 2pts each way on Bo Van Pelt at 50/1 with Ladbrokes 2pts each way on Harris English at 50/1 with Ladbrokes 1pt each way on Robert Garrigus at 100/1 with Ladbrokes
