After beginning the day in second place behind Stuart Appleby, Korean K J Choi shot a round of 68 to claim the AT&T National.
Choi continued to establish himself as one of the top players on the PGA Tour with a win that moves him into the top five of the FedEx Cup standings. He battled it out with American Steve Stricker early on in the round but Stricker made late bogeys and fell away.
Overnight leader Appleby had an abysmal start where he dropped six shots in the first seven holes. Choi?s solid round, which included five birdies and three dropped shots, was good enough to establish a lead after nine holes. He created a three-shot lead after making birdie at 17 and then made par at the last to finish comfortable winner.
The Korean?s previous win this year came at the Memorial Tournament at the end of May.
Tiger Woods finished tied for sixth at the end of a disappointing week that promised more after a second round of 66. The top British players were Brian Davis and Justin Rose who finished tied for 30th after both carding disappointing final rounds of 74 and 75 respectively.
