A classic links course on the Lincolnshire coast. Set just beside the Gibraltar Point nature reserve the course itself has been designated an English Nature Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Course lowdown: The fairways here are tight and undulating, demanding crisp iron play. There are 75 bunkers on the course so proficiency from the sand is important. Beware of the 13th, a par 5 of 499 yards. It?s a dangerous hole on which you must aim left to give yourself a view of the green on the second shot. The decision then is whether to lay up short of the bunker or go for broke.
Stats: par 71, SSS 71, 6,492 yards
Green fees: £40 round, £50 day Mon-Fri, £50 round Sat, £45 round Sun. Special rates available from Nov to March.
History: Seacroft was founded in 1895. Originally the course was just nine holes but it was extended to 18 in 1900.
