The English Golf Union (EGU) are making their finest facilities and expert coaching available to the golfing public on May 10-12, 2010.

Last year 12 golfers, with handicaps ranging from scratch to 17, attended the National Golf Centre, Woodhall Spa, the home of the EGU, for a unique three-day training programme.

Participants were informed how to address problems they may face out on the course, providing them with a greater understanding of the game.

The England Experience coaching team comprises two Golf Monthly Top 25 coaches Gary Smith and David Ridley, as well as Dr Brian Hemmings and Andy Larmour. All have worked with and taken players such as Richard Finch, Ross McGowan, Chris Wood, Ross Fisher, Dave Horsey and many more onto success on the professional circuits.

Peter Mattsson, EGU director of coaching said: “The England Coaching Experience is a snap shot of what a full year’s England Coaching Programme is about and provides various ideas on how golfers can continue their performance development when they get back home.

“Because as I quite often say to the England Players – it is not about what you do when you are here with us, it is what you do when you are not that matters!”
