The Forgotten Children International charity has organised a golf day to raise funds to aid its projects all around the globe.

The charity works with disabled children in developing countries providing medical support to the youngsters to help them cope with their disability and become active members of their community.

The event itself will take place at Mere Country Club in Knutsford on Thursday 3rd May 2007 and organisers are hoping to attract 18 teams of four players.

The itinerary consists of bacon rolls and drinks upon arrival swiftly followed by a round of golf, with an evening meal and charity auction afterwards.

Prizes on the day will be handed out for the best two teams, top three individual scores, as well as the customary longest drive and nearest the pin. Another added incentive is that a car is available for a hole-in-one, although the hole has not yet been decided.

All proceeds from the day and the auction will go to Forgotten Children International and for more information on the event feel free to contact Simon Dodd on 07795 188890.
