Gear Vault video — Wilson FYbrid fairway utilities
Wilson's new FYbrid concept goes under the spotlight in this week's video blog, as equipment editor Jezz Ellwood and news editor Luke Norman cast their expert eye over the FY club that bridges that awkward gap between a 5-wood and a 3-hybrid.
In this week's Gear Vault, news editor Luke Norman joins equipment maestro Jeremy Ellwood, as they test out Wilson's new FY fairway bridge club, as well as taking a look at the more traditional hybrids and fairway woods.
Wilson say that the FY has the perfect loft and shaft length to sit between a 5-wood and a 3-hybrid. The fairway woods in the FY range all have cut-away sections in the sole to help shot-making and the 3-5 hybrids are all designed to replace specific irons.
Take a look to see what our testers thought of these new concepts.
