US team, Ryder Cup

Celtic Manor was evacuated in the early hours of Monday morning following a fire alarm. The guests, including Ian Poulter and other members of the European team had to camp on the curb outside their hotel at 1am, while fire crews attended the situation.

The resort, which is gearing up to host golf's biggest event has yet to

comment on the situation. Poulter caught the whole thing on camera and posted

it on his twitter site along with his thoughts on the situation: "Sitting on the curb outside the hotel at 1am with everyone, full fire alarm in the hotel. What a shocker".

Meanwhile, the US Team led by captain Corey Pavin has landed at Cardiff International

Airport. European team captain, Colin Montgomerie, will meet with

the US captain and hold a joint news conference before heading over to the

resort.

Tiger Woods looked in a relaxed mood as he left the plane with Pavin posing with the Ryder Cup that they regained two years ago at Valhalla. Woods himself was injured in 2008 and is now looking to end a disappointing year on a high after failing to secure a tour win this season.
