Singapore Masters preview

A co-sanctioned European and Asian Tour event in Singapore uses two courses for the first time in its history and includes three Ryder Cup stars in the field.

HOST COURSE: Laguna National G&CC Singapore

PRIZE FUND: $1,100,000

COURSE DETAILS: Masters Course - 7112 yards, par 72; Classic Course - 7,099 yards, par 72

For the first time this tournament will be played over two layouts ? the Masters Course and Classic Course at Laguna National G&CC. Both are flat and tree-lined with water coming into play on 12 holes on the Masters and eight on the Classic.

In 2006 Mardan Mamat made history by becoming the first player from Singapore to win on the European Tour International Schedule. He pipped defending champion Nick Dougherty to the title who returns for this year?s event. Ryder Cup stars David Howell (pictured), Lee Westwood and Darren Clarke are all in the field. This is a co-sanctioned European and Asian Tour competition.
