Soomin Lee has won the Shenzhen International after a final round 71.

It's the South Korean's maiden European Tour title in what was only his sixth start.

The 22-year-old finished on 16-under-par, two clear of Joost Luiten and Branden Stone.

In a weather-delayed tournament the final holes were played early on Monday where the leading players had to complete their rounds.

Lee came into the day tied for the lead with five holes remaining and birdied 16 before an eagle at the par-5 17th.

Some will remember Soomin Lee for double-bogeying two of his final three holes to finish T2nd at the Maybank Malaysian Open.

"First time European Tour winner in just six events. It was really incredible" said the champion.

"I really, really want to play Europe so it's good for me."

He is the second consecutive first-time winner on the European Tour after Andrew Johnston's Open de Espana victory last week.

Joost Luiten and Brandon Stone finished in a tie for fourth, two shots back.

Lee Slattery was the top Englishman at T4th on 13-under-par alongside Alex Levy and True Thailand Classic winner Scott Hend.

4 talking points from the Shenzhen International

1) Soomin Lee may be around for a while. At 22 years of age he is an incredible talent and the experience he has now gained from winning will huge - especially after what happened in Malaysia. Through 52 holes he had 17 birdies and 35 pars - that's some golf. He will move up to around 75th in the Official World Golf Rankings from 128.

2) Joost Luiten has finished second two weeks in a row on the European Tour now so the Dutchman looks to be finding his best form. He posted a 66 and two 68's but his third round 72 looked to have cost him. Expect him to pick up a 'W' pretty soon.

3) Alexander Levy looks another who will win soon. The Frenchman was tied for the lead at 14-under-par going into Monday with just a handful of holes remaining but played the back nine in one-over-par with just one bogey and eight pars to finish three back in a tie for fourth. He also held the lead last week after R1 of the Open de Espana.

4) Bubba Watson pleased spectators with a final round 66. He moved up 24 spots on the final day for a T8th finish where he played the final 10 holes in five-under-par. The World Number 4 had a poor opening three days with the flat stick, having 36 putts in round one and 33 in round two and three. However he turned that around with 28 putts on Sunday.
