American Stacy Lewis won her second title is an many weeks at the LPGA Founders Cup to move to the top of the Rolex Women's Ranking for the first time.

The Mizuno staff player - who has been with the brand since her college days - followed in the footsteps of fellow Mizuno player Luke Donald, who became men's number one in 2011.

The JPX825 user trailed Japan's Ai Miyazato by four shots heading into the final round, but an eight-under-par 64 secured her the title.

The 28-year-old's achievement is even more remarkable given she underwent surgery to correct scoliosis less than 10 years ago.

"I couldn't have dreamt the kid growing up wearing a back brace 18 hours a day would become the number one player in the world," said Lewis, who uses Mizuno JPX825Pro irons, a JPX825 hybrid, MP-650 3-wood and MP-T11 wedges.

David Matthews, Mizuno's European Golf Marketing Manager, added: "Stacy Lewis has been with Mizuno since the day she turned professional, which makes this achievement so much more satisfying.

"Mizuno's approach is to work with players over the longer term. We think it says a lot more about our equipment than if we were to buy in players after they become successful."
