The Greenbrier Classic golf betting guide

The PGA Tour is in West Virginia this week for the fourth running of The Greenbrier Classic at The Old White TPC.

Ted Potter Jr. is the defending champion having surprisingly won last year.

Phil Mickelson is the short priced favourite for the event at 12/1 – has never made a cut here in his two previous appearances in the competition.

Bubba Watson 16/1 with Ladbrokes. Has played well in recent times and could have won two weeks ago at the Travelers Championship had it not been for a poor hole down the stretch. Due a victory.

Roberto Castro 40/1 with Ladbrokes. Finished 2nd last week at the AT&T having led after each of the first three rounds. Has previous good form here with a 63 in the 2012 event. Odds are decent as well.

Boo Weekley 50/1 with Ladbrokes. Only won 5 weeks ago, and has had some time off since missing the cut at the US Open. Chance here to get his season going again, can go very low if he putts well.

Jeff Overton 66/1 with Ladbrokes. Famously missed out on winning here in 2010 when he ran into Stuart Appleby’s 59. Has played well here every year he has competed.

Cameron Tringale 80/1 with Ladbrokes. A tied 4th here in 2011 is not the only reason to look at him. Has tee to green stats are very impressive and when he putts well for a week he will compete. This could be that very week.

The Greenbrier Classic advised bets:

3pts each way on Bubba Watson at 16/1 with Ladbrokes
2pts each way on Roberto Castro at 40/1 with Ladbrokes
2pts each way on Boo Weekley at 50/1 with Ladbrokes
2pts each way on Jeff Overton at 66/1 with Ladbrokes
1pt each way on Cameron Tringale at 80/1 with Ladbrokes
