Tiger Woods' niece, Cheyenne Woods, has earned a spot in the U.S. Women's Open next month.

The 21-year-old was a co-medallist at the qualifier at Carolina Trace Country Club this week.

She shot a two-over-par 74 on her first round, and a 72 on her second round to finish on 2 over par, tied with Katherine Perry.

After turning professional recently she makes her pro debut next week at the Wegmans LPGA championship on a sponsor's exemption.

She will be hoping this tournament, known as the second major, will bring her confidence leading into the US Open, which is being held at Blackwolf Run on July 2-8.

The 21-year-old is daughter of Tiger Woods' half brother Earl Woods Jr. She graduated with a degree in communications from Wake Forest University, where she played collegiately.

Although known as 'Tiger Woods' niece', Cheyenne has shown the world she deserves recognition in her own right.
