Monty will be attempting to continue his run of winning at least one title around the world every year since 1993. Michael Campbell and Retief Goosen will look to continue their good form after both were in contention last week.
The tournament has an impressive list of past winners, which includes Miguel Angel Jiménez, who also competes this week, and José Maria Olazábal. Teenage amateur Jimmy Ko is gaining the headlines in Hong Kong after securing a spot by finishing third in the Open?s qualifying tournament. Recent winners Jeev Milkha Singh and KJ Choi lead the Asian challenge as they attempt to become the first Asian winner of the event since 1998 when Korea?s Kang Wook Soon took the title. Singh brilliantly took the European Tours Volvo Masters three weeks ago, while Choi secured his fourth US PGA Tour win on the same Sunday, taking the Chrysler Championship in Florida.
