A guide to the tenth hole of the Rio Olympic Golf Course ahead of the 2016 Olympics in August

Rio Olympic Golf Course Hole by Hole: Hole 10

Hole 10 - Par 5 - 541 yards

Like the front nine, the home run starts with a par-5 with this one measuring 541 yards.

This one will offer an eagle chance for the long hitters and I feel could be one of the easiest holes on the course.

If the player drives it 320 down the fairway, which plenty of them will, it will only be something like a hybrid or four iron in for them which will have to land soft on this shallow green.

The reservoir shouldn’t really come into play if the players get their tactics right.

The view from the tee, players can choose to lay up short of the water or hit a driver down the right side

I feel the best play would be to lay up short of the water and play your second shot from there as it gives you the full length of the 50-yard green to work with.

Players can hit a longer drive but then they would have to come into the green over the three bunkers short of the green and one at the back and from that angle they will be aiming at a green that has a depth of only 10 yards.
