Rio Olympic Golf Course Hole by Hole: Hole 7
At 509 yards the par-4 seventh feels like a par-5
A guide to the seventh hole of the Rio Olympic Golf Course ahead of the 2016 Olympics in August
Rio Olympic Golf Course Hole by Hole: Hole 7
Hole 7 - Par 4 - 509 yards
This par-4 measures a staggering 509-yards and making par here will feel like birdie.
The fairway bunkers look very intimidating from the tee, but they shouldn’t come into play with a fairly wide fairway.
The green has a false front with about an eight-foot change in elevation so take an extra club into a green that's protected by a bunker on the right hand side.
The fairways here are very undulating, so finding a level stance could be one of the players’ challenges along with the wind.
