Adams Pro Hybrid

Golf Monthly Verdict

It’s no surprise that Adams is the No.1 hybrid on tour. It performed beautifully, gave a strong and powerful ball flight and was very easy to use. Its sleek design matches its performance, and I really was taken by its appearance at address. I could use this from many areas of the course, from tee shots to poor lies in the rough, and it produced consistent distances with ease.

Reasons to buy

The hybrid category is an area where Adams continues to grow and improve. This year, the range offers something for everyone, with the Pro hybrid sitting in the middle. Don’t let the Pro name fool you – although this model will suit better players, the forgiveness on offer from the mid-size head means it suits a range of players. The double slot design helps shots that catch both the top and bottom of the face, while the head shape and finish are much improved from last year’s white versions. The high and long ball flight on the pro hybrid is outstanding.

Reasons to avoid

While the head shape is stunning and inspires confidence, some will find the slot on the crown of the pro hybrid visually distracting.

Adams Pro hybrid Key Technology:

An “upside-down” head shape is designed to make consistent contact easier. Adams’ Velocity Slot Technology on the crown and Cut-Thru Slot Technology on the sole combine with an ultra-thin face to add forgiveness and increase power. The centre of gravity in the head has been positioned directly behind the centre of the face to enhance workability.

Will Suit...Those wanting a hybrid design that is forgiving and easy to control.
