Cleveland’s new Mashie boasts a ‘Gliderail’ sole design, with dual rails flanking a central keel, with a view to improving playability from all lies. ‘Ultralite’ and with an extended shaft, shot distance should also be boosted.
Extremely versatile and produced distance more like a fairway wood. The retro “unfinished” look of the Cleveland Mashie is definitely a love or hate thing.
Some will immediately dislike the retro finish but it is a huge hit in the Golf Monthly office. The ball feels powerful off the face and the Cleveland Mashie head shape makes it perfect for little chip and run shots.
