Cobra BiO CELL Hybrid
Golf Monthly senior staff writer Paul O’Hagan reviews the Cobra BiO CELL Hybrid.
The quality and design of the Cobra BiO CELL hybrid are second to none. In fact, I found this club hard to put down! Each shot, almost regardless of strike, felt effortless. The MyFly8 adjustable hosel, which allows you to change flight characteristics, and high-quality finish make the BiO CELL extremely appealing. I doubt if there are many better rescues currently on the market.

While the excellent BiO CELL driver received much of the attention when the range was first introduced, the hybrid is a fantastic performer. The head size is perfect – it’s big enough to inspire confidence, but small enough, without being intimidating, to work from a range of lies. The flight on offer is impressive, and even in the higher lofts it doesn’t balloon. With so much loft adjustability available, it means that with a bit of testing you can find perfect distance gaps between your irons, hybrids and fairway woods.

We only have one small criticism – the webbing design on the coloured crown is a little unnecessary, particularly on a small hybrid head.

Key technology
MyFly8 technology allows the player to choose from eight different loft options to suit their requirements. SmartPad technology ensures the face remains square at address. Weight has been moved from the face and crown and repositioned low and back in the clubhead to improve launch conditions. High-strength steel inserts enable more face flex for added distance.
