Golf Monthly Verdict

While the graphics on the crown look slightly too busy on the Mizuno MX-700 utility compared to the great-looking driver and fairway wood, the penetrating flight did impress. It flew considerably longer than comparative lofts in other utility clubs and rolled out a lot more than most.

The Mizuno MX-700 utility is designed so the crown of the club drops down from the face, which moves weight lower in the head and makes it easier to produce high-launching shots. Like the rest of the MX-700 series the lightweight face expands the sweetspot. With its penetrating flight this is an excellent substitute for a fairway wood.
