The TaylorMade Women's Kalea driver and fairway woods feature cutting edge technologies designed to minimise weight and maximise distance and consistency.

For the last four decades, TaylorMade has been one of the most innovative manufacturers in golf. Since unveiling a steel-headed driver at the 1979 PGA merchandise show, the company has pushed the boundaries of equipment technology. The TaylorMade Women's Kalea driver and fairways have been designed as the first complete line of women’s clubs from TaylorMade, from driver right through to putter. The key feature of the Kalea clubs is how lightweight they are, the objective being that you get the very most out of every swing.

TaylorMade Women’s Kalea driver RRP: £249

For a number of years when manufacturers have looked to produce women’s drivers, they’ve simply taken the head used for the men’s version, re-weighted it and added a lightweight, soft shaft. The Kalea driver has been designed from scratch with female golfers in mind.

The result is a lightweight, aerodynamically designed head that cuts through the air. The feel is fantastic and the relative clubhead speeds achieved are higher than with previous TaylorMade models. As a result, achievable distances are greater.

Also adding to the distance achievable is the speed pocket behind the face, helping to generate greater ball speeds. The low-kick Slim Tech shaft that comes standard throughout the Kalea range has been developed to help you to get a better launch. The trajectory produced by this driver is noticeably higher than with many drivers on the market today.

The club is elegantly finished with a white crown and green/yellow detailing on the sole.

The driver comes with 12 of loft.

TaylorMade Women’s Kalea fairways RRP: £179

Kalea-fairway

As in the driver, the Kalea fairways feature a centre of gravity located low and deep in the clubhead. This helps players with a slower swing speed to generate power and a higher ball flight.

Finished with the same attractive styling as the driver, the fairways also feature slot technology in the sole. This allows the face to flex more and this increases forgiveness on off-centre strikes.

The fairways are available in 3W, 5W and 7W.

Talking about the Kalea range Tomo Bystedt, Senior Director of Product Creation at TaylorMade said:

“We’ve learned a great deal about product performance in the last decade, much of which was geared toward faster swing speeds. For us, Kalea was a great opportunity to take our learnings on slower swing speeds and bring them to market with products that provide meaningful performance for female players. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results.”
