Coronavirus and Golf

We are all coming to terms with having to self-isolate and dealing with the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic.

This is of course having a huge effect on the game of golf – and we will be trying to keep you updated with everything that is going in with the game of golf through this trying period.

This is what we know so far

Golf In UK Suspended

On Monday 23rd March the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced new measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the country.

This included details that people will only be allowed to leave their homes for:

  • one form of exercise a day – for example a run, walk, or cycle, alone or with members of their household;
  • travelling to and from work, but only where it is absolutely necessary and cannot be done from home

This was quickly followed by a statement from England Golf that said clubs, courses and facilities must now close.
