For the vast majority of the Open field, the challenge of links golf is unusual. With the firm ground, deep bunkers, tight fairways and potentially strong winds, so the players need to ask different questions of their equipment.

Golf Monthly caught up with Chris Trott, the man responsible for ensuring that any player looking to use an Adams hybrid, has exactly what he needs. In this video interview, he explains how Adams Golf has produced a special hybrid specifically for this week, what the performance benefits are and how Hoylake should be the ideal venue for it.
