Miguel Angel Jimenez became the oldest player to win a European Tour event at the Hong Kong Open last year. This year's tournament runs from October 16-19 at the Hong Kong Golf Club.

The tournament holds the distinction of being the only national championship in Asia to be held at the same golf club since its inauguration in 1959.
Last year, Miguel Angel Jimenez rolled in an 18-foot putt at the 18th hole to become the oldest winner in European Tour history at 49.
He broke his own record which he set winning the same tournament in 2012.
He won a play-off against Stuart Manley of Wales (above) and Thailand's Prom Meesawat.
Ernie Els is one of the big names confirmed for this year's event.

Y E Yang is another Major winner who will be appearing at the Hong Kong Golf Club.
Rory McIlroy is a former winner of the championship, taking the title in 2011.
The tournament joined the Asian Tour in 2000, before being co-sanctioned the following year with The European Tour as part of the 2002 schedule.
