Below, you'll some images from the second day's play in the 96th USPGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky.

Rory McIlroy continued his fantastic form to open up a one-shot lead at the top of the leaderboard.

The Ulsterman followed an opening 65 with a a second-round 67 to move one ahead of Jason Day and two clear of American duo Ryan Palmer and Rickie Fowler.

The likes of in-form Jim Furyk, Henrik Stenson and Phil Mickelson - who finished with an eagle - are all within four shots of the lead at the halfway stage.

Lee Westwood, who came within one shot of McIlroy at one stage, stumbled on the back nine and eventually carded a 72.

Tiger Woods, meanwhile, looked to tweak his back on the 7th hole but credibly managed to finish his round, although he missed the cut by some margin.
