Baltusrol Golf Club Hole by Hole Guide: Hole 18

Hole 18 - Par 5 - 554 yards

What a finishing hole.

The closing 18th is nearly 100 yards shorter than the 17th but will provide even more drama.

It played as the easiest hole during the 2005 USPGA Championship but that doesn't mean birdie is guaranteed.

Water left and bunkers down the right mean that only a perfect drive will give players a chance to go for the green.

From the fairway, there's only one option - go for the green.

There are plenty of bunkers surrounding the green so a four may come in the form of an up-and-down for most.

Mickelson birdied this in 2005 to beat Thomas Bjorn and Steve Elkington by a stoke.

Definitely a birdie hole but only if the tee shot is down the fairway.
