FootJoy has announced the launch of a brand new golf shoe for 2014: the FootJoy DNA, which stands for DryJoys Next Advancement (DNA) and is already a proven winner on tour.

The new FootJoy DNA line amalgamates pre-existing elements from the popular DryJoys golf shoe and a number of technological enhancements to produce a comfortable, stable and stylish shoe.

The FootJoy DNA golf shoe has already been put in play by a number of FootJoy ambassadors.

Purported to be the most comprehensive package ever delivered by FootJoy, the FJ DNA combines proven elements of the DryJoys golf shoe with new, cutting-edge component and construction methodology.

The FootJoy DNA boasts a number of performance benefits and new technological innovations.

A 3D FoamCollar moulds to the ankle to to promote advanced comfort and support, while also restricting movement of the foot

The FJ DNA also comes with a SnugFit tongue - forged from thin, soft and breathable materials - for a superb fit, and a NitroThin TPU outsole - which frames the FTP internal midsole to deliver unprecedented stability and flexibility.

Advanced cushioning comes in the form of an Xtra-Thick FTF FitBed. The FootJoy DNA's midsole has been moved inside the shoe and a new proprietary cushioning material is employed.

The DNA's midsole also comes with two densities of fine-tuned foam - firmer around the perimeter and softer in the heel and forefoot - for excellent in-shoe comfort.

"To create the most feature-laden golf shoe in our history, we needed to explore the anatomy, or DNA, or our premium footwear products and then scrutinise each and every aspect throughout the design and development process," said Doug Robinson, FootJoy's Vice President of Design and Development worldwide.

"Each material and component was carefully considered in order to deliver a golf shoe with lightweight stability, a cushion-like fit, superior feel and ultimate performance."

Scott, the current world number two, said: "The FootJoy DNA is the most technologically-advanced shoe FJ has ever produced and it embodies everything I am looking for in a golf shoe."

The FootJoy DNA golf shoe launch will be accompanied by broadcast, print and digital advertising featuring a number of FJ Tour players, and will look at what makes the new FootJoy DNA golf shoe unique.

The FJ DNA will be available from March 2014 with an RRP of £150 for the traditional laced version and £165 with BOA lacing system.

DNA will be available in the following colour schemes:
