Wedgwood, creators of the stunning World Golf Championship trophies, are to create a bespoke 2010 Help for Heroes National Golf Club Challenge trophy.
The National Golf Club Challenge, tipped to be the largest amateur charity golf event the UK has seen, will be held on July 24-25. The Challenge will bring hundreds of golf clubs, and thousands of golfers together on the same weekend as part of a nationwide charity golf event - with the aim of raising over £1 million for the Help for Heroes charity.
Golfers participating in the National Golf Club Challenge will compete for some outstanding golfing prizes - including golf holidays to Egypt - and a chance to play in the Challenge Final at one of the world's leading golf resorts, The Belfry.
Wedgwood (and Waterford Crystal) now part of the WWRD group, have enjoyed a long association with professional golf, producing among others, the stunning World Golf Championship trophies for the USPGA.
Once ready, the Help for Heroes National Golf Club Challenge trophy will be unveiled in advance of the Challenge competition in July.
