PING embark on Lake challenge
In the early hours of Saturday morning, June 19, members of PING Europe's management team will embark on a gruelling walking challenge to raise money for the Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association
In the early hours of Saturday morning, June 19, members of PING Europe's management team, including Managing Director John Clark, Marketing Manager Dave Fanning and National Sales Manager Steve Carter, will embark on a gruelling walking challenge to raise money for the Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association.
The rigorous event begins at Eskdale Golf Club where the PING team will play a full round before commencing the extremely demanding Lakeland fell walk - over 35 miles in two days - to Keswick Golf Club.
However, the walk is no ordinary walk. John, Dave and Steve will each carry a full set of clubs for the entire challenge! En-route they will face a climb of 10,000 feet via Scafell Pike (the highest point in England) and Helvellyn (the third highest point in England) on the way to Keswick Golf Club.
The exhausting walk will, hopefully, see the three men arrive in time for the Ping Lakeland Golf Challenge, which begins with a shotgun start at 2:30pm on Sunday, June 20.
If you would like to support the PING challenge, you can donate to the cause online through the ‘Just Giving' website, justgiving.com/Lakeland-Challenge or by sending a cheque made payable to 'LDSAMRA' to John Clark, Ping Europe Limited, Corringham Road, Gainsborough, DN21 1XZ.
