PING Anser irons launched

PING has launched its new Anser irons that will be available to buy from November this year. This blended set design offers the forgiveness needed in the long irons and the control wanted in the shorter irons

PING Anser irons

PING has launched a new set of irons, the PING Anser, which will be available to buy in November this year.

The 8620 steel material used by PING engineers allows the advanced design to be forged while still maintaining the necessary strength needed for consistent performance. The Anser also provides the softer feel expected from a forged iron product.

The long irons are engineered for higher launch and higher moment or inertia (MOI) for longer and straighter shots while the short irons are engineered to produce a lower, more penetrating trajectory for enhanced distance control.

The Hollow Sole Cavity allows for more precise placemengt of the centre of gravity lower and further back in the clubhead providing a higher trajectory than could otherwise be obtained from a traditional forged club.

In addition, the Custom Tuning Port (CTP), a similar design of which was used in the PING G15 and i15 irons, provides the proper structure and support behind the face to ensure consistent performance and distance control.
