His form this season - which included a victory at the Czech Masters and six other top-10 finishes - has been very impressive.
He also starred at the Ryder Cup, winning three points from a possible four en debut at Gleneagles.
The 39-year-old currently ranks second on the Race to Dubai standings following a strong showing at the BMW Masters.
